Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific procedures, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols for employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers.
  • Control access to the facility by checking identification, verifying credentials, issuing visitor passes, maintaining entry records, and reporting unusual or unauthorized activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities and documenting security-related events in a clear and timely way.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, gates, lobbies, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and observe operational or security-related concerns within the industrial environment.
  • Support daily location operations by communicating with site personnel regarding deliveries, visitor arrivals, restricted areas, and/or special access requests while following post orders and client-directed procedures.
