This role may include routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and using technology to document activity. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and/or visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize visitor and vendor access, and document arrivals, departures, and/or delivery activity in accordance with property guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant details to property contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the community, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Support front gate and/or lobby operations by answering questions, providing directions, maintaining accurate access records, and reporting security-related concerns in a timely manner.
