About The Position

As a Security Officer Badge Control in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic port location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and support daily security-related operations. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols as needed, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, contractors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, check identification and/or visitor records, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Document daily activities, unusual events, and access control-related incidents, and complete required reports with attention to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas, gates, and perimeter points as assigned, with duties and working conditions varying by location.
