Requirements

Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local emergency services when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout operational areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and other security-related concerns in accordance with post orders.
Support incident response and routine site operations by preparing clear reports, maintaining awareness of changing conditions, and following Allied Universal standards for an armed patrol post.
