About The Position

This role involves performing proactive monitoring and timely response to potential and actual security threats at Seton Northwest Hospital. The Security Officer will investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards, while maintaining knowledge of and adherence to policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. They may also facilitate planned drills and simulations. A key aspect of the role is providing information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety. For officers operating a vehicle, safe and responsible operation is required to avoid accidents and violations.

Requirements

Drivers License credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Security Professional credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety preferred.
