About The Position

This role is responsible for monitoring for security threats and responding quickly to any issues. The Security Officer will investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards. They will follow alarm procedures and emergency/disaster plans, and assist with drills when needed. The officer will also provide safety information and assistance to staff and visitors. If driving is required, the officer must operate vehicles safely and follow all traffic and parking laws.

Requirements

Drivers License credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Security Professional credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety preferred.
