Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public officials as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or authorizations in accordance with site policies, helping to control entry to restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Support emergency and routine operations by providing visible presence, assisting with de-escalation, and coordinating with law enforcement and/or first responders when appropriate.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
