As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Driver Patrol in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Requirements

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patrons and store personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, entrances, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor high-traffic areas and key points of entry, assist with de-escalation during customer and/or employee concerns, and support a professional presence throughout daily operations.
• Observe and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unusual activity involving merchandise, deliveries, or restricted areas while following Allied Universal and site-specific post orders.
