About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol in Lumberton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-value government assets, verifying access permissions and reporting unusual behavior, hazards, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support order at the location by following post orders, maintaining a visible armed presence, and assisting with de-escalation, incident reporting, and coordination during emergencies and/or urgent events.
