About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Hoffman, North Carolina, supporting a government corrections location. The officer conducts armed vehicle and foot patrols, maintains a visible security presence, monitors access, responds to incidents, and provides customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals. The driving post requires a valid driver’s license. The role also involves maintaining accurate logs and reports and following site-specific policies, post orders, and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license, in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation, as permitted by applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A valid firearms permit is preferred.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and other authorized individuals by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, following established post orders and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas.
Monitor access to restricted areas and verify credentials as required.
Report suspicious activity, policy violations, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
