Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree with 60 college credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed, and coordinating scene control until relieved.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials as required, screen for prohibited items per site policy, and maintain visitor, vehicle, and key control logs.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity reports, and communicate noteworthy events to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
