As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed post. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, and assigned posts to help identify unusual activity, contraband concerns, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with site staff, and documenting actions taken.
  • Control access points as assigned, including verifying identification, managing entry and exit, screening authorized deliveries, and directing visitors according to site rules.
  • Complete required reports such as daily activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
