Job Description As a Armed Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will drive through assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations in a report system, and communicate clearly with residents, staff, and responding partners. This role requires an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license, supported by Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven team.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting law enforcement and/or medical services as needed and within post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout residential buildings, amenity areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and enforcing community rules in a professional manner.
• Complete detailed reports on patrol activity, incidents, and hazards, and communicate notable concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or property management.
