Requirements
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required by state and/or local laws.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and officials by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and assisting with entry requirements at a government location.
- Monitor entrances, screening points, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, document visitor activity, and report unusual or suspicious behavior to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, paying attention to access points, public areas, and other sensitive spaces where security-related issues may arise.
- Prepare clear reports of daily activities, incidents, and policy-related concerns, and communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and/or emergency responders as needed.
