As a Security Officer Armed - Site Monitor in Orangeburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card/License and 6 months or more of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience. Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and coordinating with facility personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as assigned, and assist with visitor direction, access control, and hospital traffic flow.
• Maintain required armed-post equipment and complete accurate reports, logs, and documentation related to incidents, patrols, and observed conditions.
