As a Security Officer Armed Rover Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and assist with screening and control procedures in accordance with site instructions and applicable post orders.
  • Carry authorized equipment consistent with an armed patrol post and remain prepared to respond to security-related situations in alignment with training, policy, and local requirements.
