About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Route Patrol Driver in Windsor, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, visitor areas, and restricted locations; verify credentials and maintain awareness of authorized movement in accordance with site policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate personnel and public protection agencies as directed.
  • Prepare accurate reports and daily activity logs, documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.
