Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving officer in a transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned facilities, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, completing required reports, and following post orders related to rail, yard, terminal, and/or transportation property activity.
