About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Response Driver in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Applicants must have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site leadership and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify authorized entry when required, and assist with security-related escorts for staff, visitors, and/or valuables.
  • Support emergency and medical-related response activities by helping with crowd management, traffic direction, and access control during high-stress situations.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
