As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures; document visitor activity, incidents, and observations through clear and timely reports.
  • Maintain required firearms qualifications and handle assigned equipment responsibly in accordance with applicable laws, training, and Allied Universal policies.
