As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Elizabethtown, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, medical-related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate departments or locations.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities, and maintain professional communication with healthcare staff, patients, visitors, and responding public service agencies.
