Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and actions taken.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry, following established protocols for visitors, employees, contractors, and/or deliveries.
Support interactions with staff, visitors, and public officials by reporting concerns, assisting with directions, and communicating security-related information to supervisors and/or local authorities when needed.
