Requirements

  • Possess a Certified Protection Officer credential.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and assigned security-related responsibilities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to post instructions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, site policies, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
