About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Technician in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to control access, assist with directions, and support orderly movement of people throughout the location.
  • Assist with security-related rounds and post assignments in varying environments, remaining prepared to respond to medical, behavioral, and/or facility-related situations as they arise.
