As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess one or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting additional assistance and documenting events as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, service areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, direct visitors to appropriate service areas, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Maintain a visible armed presence in assigned areas while following post orders, use-of-force guidelines, and reporting procedures established for the location.
