As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Vehicle Driver in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will support a government corrections location through routine patrols, access control, incident response, and professional communication. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional service with integrity, teamwork, reliability, and care.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, residents, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Monitor and control access to designated areas by verifying authorization, observing visitor activity, and reporting unauthorized entry attempts according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services as directed.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related matters.
