As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. Requirements

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-value retail location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local management and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the sales floor, entrance points, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious behavior, theft-related concerns, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.
• Support opening and closing procedures, observe customer and employee activity, and maintain detailed incident and activity reports related to daily operations.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
