Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including appropriate emergency response activities and documentation.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces, verify credentials and/or permissions as required, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support daily operations by preparing clear reports, maintaining awareness of site conditions, and coordinating with supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders when needed.
