Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of experience as Military Police, Corrections Officer, armed security-related personnel, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
  • Have 1 or more year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate degree, 60 college credits, a Police Academy certificate, and/or a Corrections Academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, riders, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts, supervisors, and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout platforms, parking areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, security-related concerns, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verifying authorized entry and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or unattended items in accordance with post orders.
  • Maintain readiness to perform armed post duties in alignment with Allied Universal standards, location procedures, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
