Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, offering directions and assistance while following post orders and supporting a professional environment for patients and healthcare personnel.
  • Assist with security-related response efforts related to alarms, medical emergencies, and/or operational disruptions, while maintaining clear communication with staff and first responders as needed.
