As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government education location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in accordance with post orders.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and report access concerns, trespassing, or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support school and district operations during arrival, dismissal, after-hours activities, and/or special events by maintaining a visible presence and communicating with site contacts and local responders as needed.
