Join Allied Universal as an armed officer at a residential location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with property rules, helping to support authorized entry and reporting suspicious behavior and/or policy violations.
  • Assist with routine reporting, incident documentation, and communication related to daily operations, maintenance concerns, and/or disturbances observed during patrol activities.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
