Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Perform assigned duties at an armed post, maintaining professional firearm handling practices in accordance with site policies, Allied Universal guidelines, and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, verify credentials when required, and communicate with staff and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns or developing situations.
