About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Specialist in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may call for an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or observations, and communicate relevant information with site contacts, supervisors, and/or local first responders when needed.
