About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Security Presence in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will support a caring environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, helping maintain orderly access for authorized individuals while supporting patient privacy and facility operations.
Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
