Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in Oakland, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to put your experience to work with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, while acting with integrity and putting people first.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and company policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
• Monitor access activity and report unusual behavior, suspicious circumstances, and/or security-related concerns to help support site protocols and daily operations.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activity, and/or notable observations while maintaining professionalism during interactions with employees, visitors, and first responders.
