About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver Response in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations, with attention to unusual activity and/or access concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public spaces to help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or disorderly conduct while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support government location operations by following post orders, reporting hazards and/or maintenance concerns, and assisting with crowd management, directions, and other security-related duties as assigned.
