Join Allied Universal on an armed patrol post at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and calls for assistance, support staff and visitors with strong customer service and communication, and document activity with accuracy and integrity. This role requires an armed guard card or license.

Requirements

• Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter prohibited activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and/or requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and coordinating with local law enforcement when needed.
• Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, verifying authorization, monitoring entrances and exits, and documenting visitor and vendor activity per post orders.
• Complete required security-related reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management, and handle assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations.
