As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Protective Services in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess a college degree.
  • Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public service agencies.
  • Monitor access to government facilities, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and handle authorized equipment in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and Allied Universal procedures.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
