As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Emergency Aid in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, healthcare location policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, patient or visitor disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials or authorization for persons entering restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Maintain required armed post equipment, complete accurate incident reports and daily activity logs, and coordinate with Allied Universal leadership and site personnel as needed.
