About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Operative in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces while verifying credentials, following post orders, and reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Perform assigned duties at an armed post, carrying authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, site requirements, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
