Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a New Jersey RPO Certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, observing patient and visitor activity, and maintaining a visible presence during routine operations and high-traffic periods.
