Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Have 3+ years as a military police officer, corrections officer, or armed security-related professional, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transit location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit platforms, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points, with work environments and conditions varying by location.
  • Monitor access points, screen for unauthorized activity, and help to deter prohibited behavior while maintaining a professional presence and following post orders.
  • Support law enforcement, transit personnel, and/or first responders during emergencies, service disruptions, and investigations, while following Allied Universal protocols and client-directed procedures.
