As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Investigator in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years of security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify access permissions in accordance with site protocols, and report suspicious behavior and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
  • Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and assisting with security-related requests while working in varying environments and conditions.
