As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned facilities, transit-related areas, parking locations, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and wayfinding, and maintain awareness of activities within the assigned location.
  • Prepare accurate reports and shift documentation regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and interactions in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
