As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Guard in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, and visitors at a utility location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points and verify authorization for personnel, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
