Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Baton certification is preferred.
The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical support calls, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, sensitive areas, and high-traffic locations to help support authorized access, report suspicious behavior, and document security-related incidents according to site procedures.
Work closely with site leadership, first responders, and/or law enforcement when appropriate to relay information, support incident response, and complete required reports before the end of the shift.
