As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Guard in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for an armed post.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting information through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and support visitor and staff screening processes in accordance with site protocols and post orders.
• Maintain readiness for armed assignment responsibilities, handle issued equipment in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations, and communicate with local authorities and/or site contacts when needed.
