Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Baton certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the designated government location and its perimeter, maintaining visibility to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns encountered during patrols.
Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while upholding the security-related standards of Allied Universal.
Assist in access control by monitoring entry and exit points as required by post instructions.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences encountered during the shift.
Support emergency response protocols and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed.
