About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will actively monitor and patrol government locations to help to deter security-related incidents. This role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. As this is an armed and driving post, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns according to established procedures.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and/or incidents within the government facility.
Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and the public while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Document all incidents and activities as required by site-specific guidelines.
Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as directed during incidents and/or emergencies.
