About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Facility in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will actively monitor and patrol government locations to help to deter security-related incidents. This role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. As this is an armed and driving post, you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Applicants must provide one of the following: DD214 with honorable discharge, associate degree or 60 college credits, police academy certificate, or corrections academy certificate.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns according to established procedures.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and/or incidents within the government facility.
  • Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and the public while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Document all incidents and activities as required by site-specific guidelines.
  • Assist law enforcement and emergency personnel as directed during incidents and/or emergencies.
